By using this website or our services, you agree to these terms.
Our services
DEMENTIA Corporation provides dementia care training, consultation, certification support and research. We do not provide in-home or in-facility care.
Educational purpose
Our seminars, consultations and materials are educational. They are not medical advice and do not replace care from a licensed healthcare provider.
Certification
The seminar fulfills the seminar requirement for the Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) credential. The credential itself is issued by NCCDP, which sets its own eligibility rules and fees.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to register, or have consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Seminar fees
The seminar fee is set by the pricing tier for the total number of participants in a booking. For group registrations, one contact person completes the booking for all participants. Registration closes 24 hours before each seminar.
Refunds
- Cancellation fee: 40% of the applicable registration amount is deducted from any eligible refund.
- Eligibility: cancellations received at least 24 hours before the scheduled seminar qualify for a refund of 60% of the applicable registration amount.
- Group cancellations: when only some participants in a group cancel, the cancellation fee applies to those registrations, and any change to the group pricing tier may be reflected in the refund.
- Processing: eligible refunds are processed within five business days of the request. How long the funds take to appear depends on your bank.
- Non-refundable: cancellations received less than 24 hours before the seminar, and non-attendance without a qualifying cancellation request.
Rescheduling
Participants may reschedule once, subject to availability. Requests must be received at least 24 hours before the scheduled seminar.
Participant requirements
- The Digital Student Handbook (eBook) is included in the fee and remains available to booked participants, including those who cancel.
- Certificates of Attendance are issued only to participants who attend the entire seminar.
- Participants need a reliable internet-enabled device and connection for Microsoft Teams. Cameras must stay on; microphones stay muted except when speaking.
- Recording, reproducing or distributing seminar content is prohibited.
Intellectual property
The ADDC Seminar training materials, including the Digital Student Handbook (eBook), belong to the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) and are used under its program. All other website content, materials, logos and videos belong to DEMENTIA Corporation. Please do not copy, record or share any of them without written permission.
